Facebook Messenger Now Lets You Swap Spotify Songs

Facebook simply added yet another new feature to its Messenger app: The power to swap Spotify songs with your friends.

The new integration ways "you can say 'Hello' to your friends...or 'Sorry' if needed," the Facebook Messenger team wrote in a Wed mail service, referencing the Adele and Justin Bieber hits. To try it out, just tap the More than icon (three dots) when you lot're chatting, then choose Spotify. This will quickly switch y'all over to Spotify where you can search for what you want to share from within the music app.

Or, if a friend sends you a song, simply tap "Open" to hop over to Spotify and commencement listening. You can share songs, artists, or entire playlists. If the shared content is a song, information technology will begin playing automatically later Spotify opens.

The new Spotify integration is rolling out today, and Facebook said it volition be available more than broadly available at some point "shortly."

The feature comes after Facebook in December began testing Uber integration within Messenger, letting users asking a ride without leaving their conversation.
